Combined Environmental Impact Statement & Tree Conservation Report for the Hunt Club Retirement Community

Retained by Claridge Homes Inc., Ottawa, Ontario, 2017

Dr. McKinley completed a Combined Environmental Impact Statement and Tree Conservation Report to support the Site Plan Application for the development of the Hunt Club Retirement Community. The Hunt Club Retirement Community includes an eight (8) storey retirement home with approximately 145 units and an eight (8) storey hotel with approximately 150 rooms. The Combined Environmental Impact Statement and Tree Conservation Report included completion of a tree inventory and vegetation community mapping, a breeding bird survey, and a survey for the potential presence of endangered Butternut Trees. The study also required delineation of a Provincially Significant Wetland boundary and identification of a suitable wetland setback. On behalf of Claridge Homes, Dr. McKinley attended a public consultation meeting and presented the project to members of the community.
